My car is my sanctuary. I cannot disclose information about my personal life. However, I can safely say that between my bed and my car seat, I’d choose the latter. That is why I felt betrayed and frustrated when my car speakers started to fail me. Music keeps me sane when I am driving or sleeping alone, so if I lose that solace, I might lose everything. Push came to shove, and I had to research affordable car speakers. Luckily, Pyle was on top of the list I saw. I have not heard much about them, but it doesn’t hurt to test new products, especially at their price range.
Pyle Speakers Reviews
I did a little bit of research and found that Pyle has been in the business since the 1960s. I thought they were new to the market because of how little I’ve heard about them. All that is about to change: I will judge how good their audio products are. My standard will be their car speakers, which they market as Blue Label. That’s another thing; the only time I’ve heard about blue labels is with liquor and cheese. Let’s see if these speakers are as good as they are made out to be.
The first feature that got me was the beautiful deep blue color. I am not that well-versed with these types of equipment, and to see a pop of color caught my eye. As the name suggests, these speakers are small, measuring only 6 inches in diameter and 4 inches in height at their widest point. It is 1 inch at its smallest point. It weighs 3.58 pounds.
The speakers are sold as a pair. Every purchase comes with the speaker grills, the wires needed for connecting the speakers, and the mounting hardware, including eight screws and retaining clips. It has a mounting depth of 1.75 inches. I made sure of this measurement since I read reviews stating that they bought Pyle speakers that were incompatible with their cars. Thank goodness it had a perfect fit for mine.
The outside is made of butyl rubber with a blue poly injection cone within the woofer itself. Digging a bit more made me realize that woofer is actually because of the sound that dogs make, at least in this part of the world. Since a dog’s woof is deep, it only fits to name it a woofer for the bass sounds the speaker projects. It also has a tweeter, which takes care of high-pitched sounds, the same way birds tweet in high notes.
Installing the car speakers is easy enough. I immediately took it out for a spin, quite literally, and they worked wonders, perhaps even better than my old speakers. I could almost feel the bass seeping through the entirety of my car. The high notes are well-defined. For me, that indicates that the coil that Pyle boasts about is working properly.
Songs are clearer to my ears. It’s the closest I can get to surround sound experience without spending huge amounts of money for the experience. I don’t listen to a lot of high-pitched songs anyway. I like bass way better.
I am already looking forward to purchasing one more pair for the backseat speakers. Since I am usually alone, I don’t pay the backseat speakers much mind. However, as I listen to them side by side, it is obvious that Pyle is superior in every way.
Pros and Cons
To sum it up, I liked these speakers for their price, but I stayed for their performance. I’ve read reviews saying that it will go bust in a few months. I’m worried about that, but I’ll cross the bridge when I get there. Right now, I enjoy the smooth bass sounds emanating from these blue-label speakers.
Maybe what the company can improve on is the “one size fits all” manufacturing of the speakers. First, I was lucky enough to have the proper measurements. I’ve seen reviews where other people are not so lucky. Second, I really would want people to know and experience Pyle in a way that they won’t have to tweak their cars just to get these speakers to fit.
Even if I just heard about it and its products, Pyle has grown a lot on me. It has improved my car rides and satisfied my audio cravings. The blue label speakers have upgraded my car to an extent without hurting my wallet.
I’m looking forward to recommending these to the next person who comments nicely about my car stereo.
As I said, the speakers have good and bad points. It also doesn’t hurt to read other reviews online. Hopefully, you get to have that same awe as I made the first moment music blasted out of my speakers. As for me, I shall purchase another pair.
